15" (38 cm.) All cloth doll with flat-dimensional face, side and back seamed head construction, painted facial features and hair, brown eyes, outlined nostrils, bow-shaped mouth, stitch-jointed arms and legs, wearing original white cotton shirt. Condition: good, original finish albeit fading, some small holes. Marks: Columbian Doll Emma C. Adams, Oswego Centre. Comments: Columbian Doll, the Gold Medal winning doll at the 1893 Chicago Worlds Fair. Value Points: rare American cloth doll in appealing petite size, with makers mark intact.
