Standing upon a wooden platform with rich velvet cover is a bisque-headed lady with blue glass eyes, very thick black eye liner and brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, bisque shoulder plate, carton torso and legs with adult female shape and elongated slender legs, wire upper arms, bisque forearms, wearing original aqua silk satin dress richly decorated with silk ribbons and gold coins, matching cap, holding a wooden guitar with hand-painted decorations. Condition: generally excellent, mechanism and music function well. Comments: Roullet et Decamps, circa 1895, when wound she leans from side to side as though in time to the music, while her right hand strums the guitar strings; two tunes play. Value Points: rare automaton in beautifully preserved original condition.
