11" (28 cm.) All wooden two-drawer chest with bombe-shaped front, cabriole legs, grey marble top with beveled edge, has hand-painted courtly scenes, and is trimmed with very ornate gold-leaf bronze drawer pulls and mounts. French, in the Louis XV style, created in the mid-20th century as salesman's sample of a fine Parisian furniture line.
