Description
17" (43 cm.) Pale bisque shoulder head with plump facial modeling, painted blue eyes with heavily modeled eye lids, thick black upper eye liner, painted lower lashes, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, unpierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with gusset jointing. Condition: bisque excellent, body not original but appropriately sized and of the period, lower arms and hands darkened. Comments: Adelaide Huret, circa 1860. Value Points: beautiful facial model with exemplary bisque and painting of the signature French poupee, wearing antique gown, undergarments, bonnet, and leather boots.
