Description

15" (38 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-lined bisque shoulder plate, brown glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid gusset-jointed poupee body. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: attributed to Jumeau, circa 1875. Value Points: wearing her original brown taffeta gown with black silk fringe and gown buttons, along with brown woolen coat, undergarments, leather boots; included with the doll is a copy of an original vintage photograph depicting the doll with her original family owners, wearing this costume. The doll is being sold by this original family where it has remained until this day.
