18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, brush-stroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, outlined lips, four porcelain teeth, impressed dimple in bottom lip, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S&H 1249 dep Germany 6 1/2 (head) Santa Germany (body). Comments: Simon and Halbig, their transitional character model 1249 sometimes also marked "Santa" on head, circa 1900. Value Points: beautiful doll with gentle expression, lovely bisque, original and rare signed "Santa" body with original finish, factory original costume.
