Bisque socket head with rounded facial modeling, blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, brush-stroked and feathered brows, rose-blushed eye shadow, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with pertly outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, Steiner composition and wooden fully-jointed body, wearing antique muslin chemise and pantalets. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Sie C 3/0 Steiner Bte SGDG (head) J. Steiner (eyes). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1884. Value Points: the precious bebe combines rarity of size, style and wonderful state of preservation, having endearing expression, lovely bisque and painting, rare original signed Steiner eyes, original Steiner body and body finish.
