Description

14" (36 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead with plump facial modeling, cobalt blue glass eyes, painted lashes, dark upper eye liner, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line suggesting a slight smile, unpierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1. Comments: circa 1865, in the Barrois manner. Value Points: very pretty face with appealing gentleness, original well detailed costume with layered petticoats, skirts, shawls and apron, wooden sabots.
