7" x 5". A beautiful heavy card stock box with rounded edging and gilded inner frame has engraving on the lid depicting ladies in the garden, and hinges open to well fitted interior with six bone sewing tools, silver scissors and thimble, and six little chocolate boxes with engravings of children that now hold tiny buttons and sewing accessories, The inside lid is removable to reveal the label of famous Parisian chocolatier, F. Marquis, and to serve as a folio for sewing designs and samplers. Excellent condition. French, circa 1875.
