15" (38 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, sculpted brown moustache, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with hip and knee gusset jointing, bisque forearms. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 3 (head and shoulder) F.G. (shoulder). Comments: Gaultier, circa 1875. Value Points: rare sculpted moustache, the gentleman wears formal evening wear including top hat, silk vest, jacket with tails, and stickpin on checkered tie.
