18" (46 cm.) All cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted facial features and hair, circular seamed crown, stitched ears, painted brown eyes, richly painted lashes and short brows, closed mouth, blushed cheeks, painted short brown curly hair with defined tendrils especially at nape of neck, stitch-jointing at shoulders and thighs, bare feet, wearing white cotton dress and undergarments. Condition: generally excellent, some wear on toes and left thumb. Comments: "Alabama Baby" by Ella Smith, circa 1912. Value Points: beautiful painting of hair and gentle expression.
