12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head with sculpted black hair with coiled braid at back of head, sculpted and painted cap and orange earrings, amber tinted complexion, painted facial features, small brown eyes, black single stroke brows, closed mouth, impressed cheek dimples, all wooden body with dowel-articulation at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, painted green shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: maker unknown, circa 1910. Value Points: rare doll with wonderful detail of painted decorations on cap, original fully-articulated wooden body, included is original homespun tunic.
