17" (43 cm.) Composition head with painted brownish/red hair, painted facial features, brown eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, hinged jaw that opens and closes by pull- string at back of head, cloth body, composition hands and feet, painted white gloves, black shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Edgar Bergen's Charlie McCarthy, by Effanbee, circa 1940. Value Points: in near mint unplayed with condition, wearing classic formal wear costume, top hat, monocle, with original celluloid pin, booklets, and box.
