18" (46 cm.) Solid domed bisque head with flanged neck, brown painted hair with forelock curls, tiny blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, tinted brows, open mouth, shaded lips, tongue, muslin body, composition hands and lower legs, knit sweater and trousers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: copr by J.L. Kallus Germany 1394/38. Comments: Baby Bo-Kaye, made in Germany, circa 1923, designed by the American artist, Joseph Kallus, who later founded the Cameo doll firm, and who was the significant Rose O'Neill patron.
