Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, painted curly dark lashes, incised eyeliner, brush stroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with wide beaming smile, outlined lips, row of sculpted teeth, impressed dimples at lip corners, cheeks and philtrum, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, French composition fully-jointed lady body with very shapely torso and limbs. Condition: generally excellent, body is appropriately sized, of the period, and may be original presentation. Marks: 1388 Germany Simon & Halbig S&H 5 (head) E.D.B Paris La Patricienne Depose (body). Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1910, the body was deposed by Edmund Daspres of Paris at that same time, and has appeared with various bisque heads including those of Simon and Halbig. Value Points: rare facial model is enhanced by superior quality of bisque and sculpting, wearing lovely antique costume of the Edwardian era.
