Description
16" (41 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, painted brown boyish hair, painted facial features, blue eyes in sculpted eye sockets, black upper eye liner, short feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the accented lips, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed in brown woolen suit, heavy knit leggings, cap, saddle shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Germany K&H (in banner) 525 4. Comments: Kley and Hahn, circa 1915. Value Points: wonderful detail of sculpting especially large ears, and laughter crinkles around the eyes, great costume includes antique celluloid button "Be My Pal".
