Bisque socket head with solid dome and amber-tinted complexion, black painted baby hair with stippling details around the forehead, brown glass sleep eyes in half-moon shape, black painted lashes, black feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, accented lips, two porcelain upper teeth, outlined lips, amber tinted composition baby body, antique cotton Chinese costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Made in Germany (body). Comments: Kestner, circa 1915, their portrait of Chinese baby, this being the rare painted hair version. Value Points: rare model with beautifully sculpted features, unique for this model, and excellent detail of painted hair, original body and body finish.
