20" (51 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head with pink tinted complexion, slender oval lady face, elongated throat, blue painted eyes, heavily modeled eye lids, black and red upper eye liner, painted brows, aquiline nose, closed mouth, accent line between the lips, black sculpted hair arranged in waves around the face with braided coronet at the crown, and coiled braids at the back the head, muslin stitch-jointed body, leather arms with separated fingers, wearing antique calico costume, undergarments. Condition: generally excellent, few paint rubs at back of hair. Comments: Germany, circa 1860. Value Points: rare coiffure, elegantly sculpted features and hair.
