Pressed bisque socket head, large brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eye liner, painted dark lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, brush stroked brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the accented lips, separately sculpted pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight- loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 10 (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1880. Value Points: lovely long-faced modeling with very full cheeks, sweet expression, choice bisque and painting, original early body and body finish, wearing Jumeau checkered mariner costume, undergarments, leather sailor cap, blue knit socks, leather shoes signed "Bebe Jumeau Depose".
