12" (30 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, lightly tinted brown baby hair, small brown glass sleep eyes, painted tiny lashes, closed mouth with extended center line, composition baby body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: copr by Grace. S. Putnam, made in Germany (head) Made in Germany (body). Comments: Bye-lo, designed by American artist Grace Putnam, circa 1924. Value Points: rare socket head version, enhanced by very fine quality of sculpting and bisque.
