Bisque swivel head with flattened solid dome, on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, blue glass enamel inset eyes with spiral threading, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accent lines between the lips, pierced ears, blonde lambswool wig, kid body with gusset-jointing, bisque lower arms. Comments: Sonneberg, circa 1885, the German doll was made to compete with the prosperous French bebe market, this example designed to emulate the early Bru bebe in facial model and body style.
