22" (56 cm.) An amusing presentation of the comic characters features waist-up figures posed behind a painted wooden picket fence, each with paper mache head, glass eyes, lashes, uniquely sculpted face and wig to represent the storybook character of either Max or Moritz, felt over- sized hands clasping the fence, colorful felt costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: operated by electricity (German wiring),the figures alternately bob up and down as though hiding and then jumping up to frighten the passer-by, circa 1925. Value Points: amusing comical pair with simple, yet charming action, are all original.
