15" (38 cm.) Bisque shoulder head portraying a light golden dog with prominent shaved muzzle, painted nose and mouth, painted brown eyes, very full sculpted fur on throat and chest, and having sculpted green Tyrolean hat with red feather on head and two gold beads at throat, original muslin body with printed designs of children playing, original bisque lower paws, antique woolen hunting costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, probably Hertwig, circa 1890. Value Points: rare animal-doll with amusing detail and excellent sculpting.
