27" (69 cm.) l. A wooden framed long barn contains ten cages with wire doors for housing various wild animals, along with two open cages for elephant and giraffe and two perches for exotic birds. Each cage has stenciled gilt letter in the Biedermeier style naming the paper mache animal that is included inside. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1880, a rare and well-preserved luxury toy.
