Description
16" (41 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, painted brown hair, painted facial features with very expressive features, narrow brown eyes with heavy eyelids, black and red upper eye liner, side- slanted feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth modeled as though open with shaded and outlined lips, composition bent limb baby body, antique costume with tasseled cap. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 40 WSK 130 Germany. Comments: Wiesenthal, Schindel & Kallenberg, circa 1910, the firm created only a few models of the art character dolls. Value Points: rare character with delightful expression, superb detail of sculpting.
