11" (28 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, dark eyeliner, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, outlined lips, two porcelain upper teeth, brunette mohair wig over plaster pate, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: made in Germany 4. Comments: early unmarked presentation of the Kestner 143 model, circa 1910. Value Points: pretty wide-eyed child has original body and body finish, antique costume, factory-original kidskin shoes and socks.
