Of taupe linsey-woolsey with contrasting trim in a tiny brown and grey plaid, the dart-fitted two-piece gown features a hip-length jacket that hugs the body so snugly that it appears as a one-piece gown, having nine silk buttons and handmade button holes, coat sleeves with double bands of trim, plaid side pleated pockets and an elaborately constructed rear bustle. The skirt has a flat front and box-pleated back that extends into demi-train, and is edged all-around by two bands of trim above 1 1/2" band of narrow knife pleats at the hem. There are narrow white cotton pleats at the neck and cuffs. To fit lady doll about 17". 4" shoulder width. 8" waist. 14" overall.
