Early Transfer Printed Cotton Day Dress with Trumpet Sleeves

Of finely woven cotton with polished effect, decorated with tiny transfer printed colorful field flowers, the gown features a slightly high waist with set-in waist band at the back above narrow cartridge pleats, and a loosely gathered waist at the open front. There are full-length lapels that extend the full length of the gown, edged in hand-embroidered red scalloped design, and the trumpet-shaped sleeves feature scalloped edge cuffs with the same embroidery. The dress clasps at the waist with buttons and loops, and has a similar button design at the back waist that is simply decorative. There is a torchon lace collar. To fit lady doll about 20". 3 1/2" shoulder width. 16" overall gown length.
