Of fine cotton poplin in a pattern of narrow cream and red stripes, the dress features stitched- down pleats on the bodice that open up to create a blouson effect on the lower bodice with dropped waist, two tiers of skirt gathers from the hips, edged in white piping, full sleeves with stitched-down box pleats that open and blouson from elbow to constructed cuffs. With V- shaped lace panels at the yoke and a red silk sash with fancy bow at the back. Included is a wire-framed bonnet with rose velvet rim and open-weave torchon lace decorated with crepe de chin and clusters of silk roses.
