16 (41 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lower lashes, slightly modeled feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, outlined lips, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: dep 6. Comments: Jumeau/SFBJ transition era, circa 1900. Value Points: beautiful bebe in fine unplayed with condition is preserved in her original trunk bearing the label Malles Lancel from the Parisian couturier, with four interior drawers, and nine wooden clothes hangers, and included an extensive trousseau, viz. red silk faille Sunday Best suit with cotton lace and matching beret, leather shoes with buckles, four night shifts or gowns including fine sheer muslin with embroidered flowers, two white cotton dresses, one white pinafore with pockets, one flowered cotton dress, one blue silk parasol, and five undergarments.
