One piece carved wood head and torso with rounded facial shape, black enamel inset eyes, black fringed lashes and brows, defined nose carving, closed mouth with narrow lips, defined chip, blushed cheek spots, brunette wig, modeled bosom, flat torso back, dowel-jointed wooden legs with hip and knee jointing, simplistic carving of legs, cloth upper arms, wooden hands, wearing antique silk brocade dress, undergarments, leather shoes, coiffe. Condition: generally excellent, original painting with typical patina rubs on facial complexion. Comments: England, circa 1740. Value Points: fine early doll with original features and painting well preserved.
