15" (38 cm.) Solid domed bisque shoulder head, painted short boyish hair, intaglio sculpted squinting blue/grey eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, feathered brows, accented nostrils of rounded nose, impressed eye dimples, closed mouth modeled as laughing, two beaded lower teeth, muslin body with disc-jointing at shoulders and hips, composition hands. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: made in Germany 215 ges gesch 6/0 A. Comments: Gebruder Knoch, circa 1915. Value Points: unusually large size of this model allowing excellent sculpting detail, wearing antique boys suit, red woolen parade cap (with candy container lining) and carrying brass horn.
