Description
13" (33 cm.) One piece all-bisque head, torso and legs depicting Kewpie in standing pose, loop-jointed bisque arms with spread-apart fingers, sculpted blonde topknot, forelock and side curls, blue wings, painted large side-glancing eyes in well-defined sockets, painted "dot" brows, side lashes, button nose, closed mouth with impish smile. Condition: restoration of left blue wing and left upper arm, otherwise excellent. Marks: O Neill (feet). Comments: Germany, circa 1912. Value Points: exceptionally large size all-bisque Kewpie is virtually unknown, has superb bisque and painting, original paper label.
