8" (20 cm.) Solid domed bisque shoulder head, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, closed mouth with pert smile, accented nostrils, blonde mohair wig in tightly coiled braids, original muslin body, bisque lower limbs, painted white stockings and black heeled boots. Condition: generally excellent, left thumb tip broken. Marks: S 2 H. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1885. Value Points: beautiful early model with endearing expression, original body and wig, original maroon dress with tiers of ruffled lace,tiny silk flowers, silk sash and ribbons, matching bonnet
