Description
18" (46 cm.) Thick bisque socket head with rounded facial modeling, blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, fringed brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with row of beaded teeth, accented lips,blonde mohair wig in coiled braids, unpierced ears, composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body, straight wrists. Condition: old hairline at back of head, body finish worn with some repaint. Marks: 150 4 (small numbers top of crown rim). Comments: mystery maker, circa 1890. Value Points: very appealing and expressive character face, rare model, wearing antique mariner costume.
