16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head with flattened solid dome, brown glass inset eyes, painted lashes, brush-stroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair bobbed wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, wearing brown velvet suit with satin collar, matching cap, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent, chip at top of head stringing hole, body original albeit finish worn, one pierced ear hole worn through. Marks: 260 dep 8. Comments: Bahr and Proschild, circa 1885. Value Points: appealing Buster Brown boy with fine antique costume, closed mouth, along with pull-toy mohair dog on cast iron wheels.
