Description
19" (48 cm.) overall l. A wooden toy cart with original painted finish has four spoked wheels with pin-stripe stencil decoration, and is being pulled by two horses on wooden wheeled platforms. Each horse, of composition Elastolin-like material, is posed in a different and very realistic manner and has elaborately sculpted harness with rich accessories, painted eyes and flaring nostrils, sculpted man and tail. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, early 20th century. Value Points: superb detail of sculpture of horses and accessories.
