Description
6" (15 cm.) larger two. Each has sculpted paper mache face and helmet, painted facial features, each with moustache, the larger two with block torso, padded upper arms and legs, wooden lower arms and legs; the smaller with padded body overall light armature frame allowing for articulation. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: two larger are German, circa 1870, the smaller is from the Kathe Kruse Miniature Army series, circa 1914. Value Points: rare doll with superb detail of sculpted helmets and sculpted or flannel wool uniforms, each with intricate detail of decorations.
