Description
16" (41 cm.) Amber tinted bisque socket head portraying Chinese child, black painted hair with stippled detail around the face and original black mohair wig (to be used according to childs choice), brown glass sleep eyes in narrow almond shape, painted black lashes and feathered brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, outlined lips, two porcelain teeth, tongue, amber tinted composition baby body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: made in Germany 1.3.k. (body stamp). Comments: Kestner, circa 1912, their 243 model of Chinese baby. Value Points: very rare painted hair variation, presented here with alternate original wig, wearing superb Chinese silk costume and bonnet, original body and body finish.
