4" (10 cm.) Thick paste porcelain shoulder head with pink tinted complexion, black sculpted hair waved away from face, stippled details around the forehead, forming into a large coiled braid at the back with curls cascading onto the back shoulders, fully sculpted ears with two colorful morning glory flowers and leaves behind each ear, painted blue upper glancing eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, aquiline nose with accent dots, closed mouth with center accent line. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 57 (impressed inside head). Comments: Schlaggenwald, circa 1850. Value Points: rare and sought after model with superbly refined features, beautiful complexion and decoration.
