20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head with rounded facial shape and full cheeks, almond shaped dark blue glass inset eyes, dark painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented shaded lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over Steiner pate, Steiner composition fully-jointed body. Condition: very faint old 2" hairline at back of head (may be original in making),otherwise excellent. Marks: Sie E 3. Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1882. Value Points: very rare model from that firm with most endearing gentle smile, lovely bisque and painting, original body, antique costume may be original.
