Pink tinted porcelain shoulderhead with definition of bosom, slender oval face, elongated strong throat, brown sculpted hair with stippling and shaded color around the forehead, the hair drawn away from face in soft curls behind the sculpted ears and captured in a loosely coiled braid at the back with escaping curls tumbling onto the back shoulders, three or four colorful flowers with leaves sculpted and painted behind each ear, muslin stitch-jointed body with kid arms, stitched and separated fingers. Condition: old hairline back left shoulderplate, otherwise excellent. Comments: attributed to Schlaggenwald, circa 1850. Value Points: superb doll whose exquisite beauty rivals her rarity, wearing fine antique linen tablier with crewel embroidered details, gown, undergarments.
