Description
3.5" (9 cm.) doll. 8"l. basket. An all-bisque doll with blonde sculpted hair and painted facial features is presented in a woven wicker basket with intricate design and decorated with rose silk ribbon handle. The basket interior is divided into niches and the doll, wrapped in taufling blanket is in one, centered by two half-moon shaped trays of tiny baby gowns, bonnet and jacket; beneath each tray is an additional layer of tiny doll accessories, viz. soap, brush, jump rope, watch, and such. Excellent condition. For the French market, circa 1880.
