Description
12" (30 cm.) largest. An all-wooden doll with one piece head and shapely torso has carved side curls and coiled knot at back, slight definition of carved facial features, painted blue eyes, blushed cheeks, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hip and knees; with another unusual doll having one piece carved wood, head to mid-torso, painted red torso as though a chemise, kid upper arms and lower torso with thighs, wooden lower limbs, red paper bands at kid junctures, simplistically painted hair and facial features. Along with an early wooden arm chair with maroon velvet upholstery. Very good/excellent condition. Germany,mid-19th century.
