14" (36 cm.) Bisque socket head portraying a kindly older gentleman, having deeply chiseled age wrinkles, prominent nose and chin, cheek bones and wide beaming smile, brown glass inset eyes, thickly sculpted brows, red accents on age wrinkles, accented closed mouth, white mohair wig, composition fully jointed Sonneberg body, wearing Uncle Sam costume. Condition: generally excellent. faint old hairline at back of head. Marks: S 3. Comments: Cuno and Otto Dressel, circa 1895, from their series of American heroes. Value Points: large model in appealing size allowing full capture of detailed character features, choice bisque and painting.
