13" (33 cm.) Bisque socket head with very high cut pate, small brown glass inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with defined stuck-out tongue between accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden early eight loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: old very faint hairline at forehead extends down and across right cheek, rough firing hole at top of head, original firing line at side rim under the wig. Marks: F (or E, in block script letter) 2. Comments: Sonneberg, circa 1885, mystery maker, the doll closely resembles the Bru bebe whose market it was designed to capture. Value Points: most precious expression on the little "stuck-out tongue" girl with original body, wearing original French-like silk dress and bonnet, undergarments, stocks, shoes, and carrying little bone-handled silk parasol
