14" (36 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes in petite eye cuts, dark painted curly lashes, delicately feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips,ears pierced into head, auburn mohair wig over cork pate, unique hollow leather body with dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hip and knees. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Poupee Brevete SGDG (stamp on torso). Comments: Pierre Victor Clement, from his deposed body model of 1866 that featured molded hollow leather poupee bodies that he described as "the most beautiful, lightest and most rugged made to date". Value Points: very rare poupee with beautiful portrait like face, original rare body with label, beautifully hand-sewn original undergarments.
