Description
8" (20 cm.) One piece wax head and torso, jointed wax arms and legs, bare feet, brown glass inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, closed mouth with outlined lips,blonde mohair fleecy hair. Condition; generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1880, the doll is preserved in a woven domed trunk along with an exquisite trousseau of handmade and embroidered costumes, viz. pique padded baby bunting with cutwork trim, baby gown with blue sateen lining, blue cotton dress, quilted baby collar, cream flannel jacket and bonnet with featherstitching, bib, two bonnets, baby rattle and bottle with woven covers, and wearing dainty undergarments and kid shoes.
