Description
16" (41 cm.) Solid domed bisque shoulder head with elongated facial shape, full cheeks, blue glass spiral-threaded eyes, dark painted lashes, brush-stroked feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair, kid gusset-jointed body, bisque lower arms. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 7 H 940. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1890, the model also appeared with brown complexion and with cut pate rather than solid dome (see #486). Value Points: beautiful early long-faced Simon and Halbig model with lovely expression and bisque, pretty antique costume.
