43" (109 cm.) l. 29"h. All carved wooden horse is covered with brown and white horsehair, real horsehair mane and tail, glass eyes, and having cast iron stirrups, leather and fabric saddle, blanket, harness with silver medallion rosettes. The horse is mounted upon a wooden platform with cast iron spoked wheels, which is then mounted upon rocking rails; the horse was designed to be played with in either manner. Germany, late 19th century. Excellent condition.
